Check any town free →221 businesses in Mountain View, CA have no website
Counted within about 2.5 miles of the town centre. 31 of them have a phone number on record.
The names are free. So is building one of them a real site — about three minutes, and you can show it to the owner the same day.
The biggest single gap in Mountain View is auto repair — 40 of the 221 have no website at all, about 18% of them. After that it is cafe (38) and dentist (38). 31 of them have a phone number on record — 14% — which is the number that matters, because a business you cannot ring is not a business you can pitch.

What this number actually means
It means no website is on record in the mapping data, which is not quite the same as no website. Measured on a real search of 211 businesses, 6 of them turned out to have a site the map did not know about — roughly one in thirty. That is why every lead is checked against the live web before it reaches you, by looking for that business's own phone number on a domain built from its name. It is also why you should never cold-call from a raw map export.
